Beauty doesn’t mean having the pale and/or fair skin, the long and beautiful hair, the perfect body and basically the perfect image. In my opinion, social media always displays the same thing. Same makeup styles, same hair, same clothes trend, models sometimes reach the point in which they look the same to me in one way or another. This girl, however, shows that beauty isn’t the face that we see on every single commercial, catalog, etc. She shows us that beauty is what makes us unique-and this girl, is unique. She is beautiful to me because her imperfections are what make her beautiful and she doesn’t try to hide them, she wants people to see them, she wants them to know that she is not perfect, she wants them to know that she is proud of who she is and that her imperfections are what make her beautiful.
And to me, that is very special and speaks more about her than a thousand words.
Beauty is not perfection, beauty is imperfection.
Such beauty, such confidence. ❤

Salem Mitchell is a model proving the haters wrong, and turning the hate into her own success. After being teased online for resembling a “bruised banana”, Salem shortly after showed up in Vogue’s  “100 Ways to Wear Gucci.”

Salem has an incredibly unique look! Her freckles and medium-dark skin are insanely beautiful! Not only that but other than Vogue Salem has done shoots with brands such as Unif and slay’s each and every one.

I support Salem and say screw the haters! It’s too often that a look because it is so different from the “standard” gets pushed down because it is such a stand-out beauty. Keep doing your thing, the world needs more amazing faces like yours!
